Compact panel filter version (new units):

Carbon filter kits – for odor and VOC reduction
Carbon filter kits for SAVE VSR 500 (both pocket and compact versions)
contain activated carbon media that help reduce:
- odors from traffic, cooking, smoking or industry
- volatile organic compounds (VOC)
These kits are especially recommended for homes close to
busy roads or urban/industrial areas where odor control is important.
How often should SAVE VSR 500 filters be replaced?
Recommended replacement interval for both pocket and compact versions:
- 1–2 times per year in normal residential use
- more frequently if:
- you live near busy traffic or construction areas
- outdoor dust or pollen levels are high
- pets are present indoors
Filters should also be replaced earlier if visibly dirty
or if the unit displays a filter/service alarm.
A clogged filter increases pressure drop, reduces airflow
and raises energy consumption.
Filter installation in Systemair SAVE VSR 500
- switch off the unit before opening the service panel
- remove used filters carefully to prevent dust from spreading inside the unit
- check the airflow direction arrows on the filters and install accordingly
- ensure filters fit tightly in the frames with no bypass gaps
-
for pocket filters – make sure the pockets hang freely and are not twisted;
for compact panel filters – check that the gasket is evenly compressed around the filter
Always refer to your specific Systemair SAVE VSR 500 user manual
for detailed installation and maintenance instructions.
