F7 / ePM1 55% + M5 / ePM10 50% – recommended choice
For most homes, we recommend the following combination:
F7 / ePM1 55% for supply air + M5 / ePM10 50% for extract air.
The F7 filter helps reduce particles entering with outdoor air, such as:
- pollen
- fine dust
- soot particles
- fine particles from traffic
The M5 filter helps protect the ventilation unit from dust and dirt carried by extract air.
F7 + M5 provides a good balance between indoor air quality, airflow and protection of the ventilation unit.
F7 Carbon + M5 – for reducing odours
If unpleasant outdoor odours are a concern, choose an F7 Carbon + M5 filter set.
The activated carbon layer in the F7 Carbon filter can help reduce, for example:
- traffic and smoke odours
- odours from chimneys
- restaurant and cooking odours
- some volatile organic compounds (VOCs)
This option is especially suitable for urban areas and locations close to heavy traffic.
M5 + M5 – available on request
An M5 + M5 filter set is also available on request.
This option may offer lower airflow resistance and, under certain conditions, a longer service life, but M5 is less effective at filtering fine particles than F7 / ePM1 55%.
For this reason, we recommend the F7 + M5 combination for most users.
